CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
The restriction on divulging confidential information referred to above continues to apply to all employees after their employment ends but will not apply to confidential information which becomes public knowledge uness through unauthorised disclosure by the employee. For the avoidance of any doubt, this does not preclude an employee from making a disclosure of confidential information insofar as such disclosure is protected by the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998.
Unauthorised access to information held on the computers of JTL or any of their associates or to any portals maintained by third parties on JTL’s behalf will be regarded as gross misconduct warranting summary dismissal.
Employees must return in good condition, promptly, to JTL upon request and, in any event upon termination of employment, all documents and tangible items that belong to the Company or are related to company business or which contain or refer to any confidential information and which are in their possession or under their control.
Employees must, if requested by JTL, delete all confidential information from any re-useable material and destroy all other documents and tangible items which contain or refer to any confidential information and which are in their possession or under their control.
JTL is subject to the Data Protection Act 2018. All employees are required to observe the Act. The Head of Quality & Audit is JTL’s designated Data Controller. A copy of the Act is available for inspection at Head Office. The copy of the JTL Registration under the Act is held by the Company Secretary.
